The constant speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo’s off-the-field life has been intensified in recent days as rumours the Real Madrid star could be expecting a new child have escalated.

On Thursday night, for the first time, Cristiano Ronaldo uploaded a photo with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez on Instagram.

The Portuguese star, who has been included in Portugal’s squad for this summer’s Confederations Cup, simply posted a heart emoji alongside his partner.

Many people noticed that Ronaldo’s hand was placed on the stomach of Georgina Rodriguez. Was this a message that she’s pregnant? That rumour spread fast despite a distinct lack of supporting evidence.

Mum Dolores talks

Ronaldo’s mum, Dolores Aveiro, has since been drawn into discussing the pregnancy claims.

She’s given the gossip a wide berth, calling it a complete load of nonsense:

It’s just nonsense, it’s just a hand on the belly, and as far as I know, Cristiano will not be a father again.

I hope he has more children, he wants to be a father again, now that Cristiano has money, he can raise more children as well.

But on Tuesday the rumour has resurfaced.

Chi with new pictures

Italian gossip magazine Chi have splashed Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez on their front cover this week as the couple spent time in Sardinia before this weekend’s UCL final.

The pictures seem to show Ronaldo’s partner with a small bump around her belly.
